What's not included?

• Personal accident insurance (PAI): this is normally covered by your travel insurance policy
   
• Collision Damage Waiver Excess (please see notes on "Insurance" below)
   
• Negligent damage to the vehicle
   
• Fuel : at the time of delivery the vehicle is checked for fuel content.  When the car is returned it must be returned with the same amount of fuel.  In the event there is more fuel in the vehicle when it is returned than when it was collected/delivered, no refund is available.
   
• Parking and traffic fines
   
• Delivery charges (where applicable)
   
• Damage to tyres and wheels, interior damage, damage to the roof, damage to the underside of the vehicle, damage to the glass parts of the vehicle (including the windscreen), wing mirrors, loss or damage to the car key, locks, vehicle documents and registration plates.
   
• Loss or theft of the soft top (in the case of Suzuki Jeeps).

Bookings are made by car group/category and not by the type of car. 

Insurance

The insurance is valid only on the islands of Kefalonia and Ithaca.

Includes unlimited public liability cover and third party liability cover for the driver(s) plus collision damage waiver.  However, the hirer is responsible for any damage to the hire car up to a maximum of 450 Euros for Groups A,B,C,D and W and 600 Euros for Group E (the excess). These terms apply provided the damage is not due to violations of the Greek Traffic Law.

Additional Collision Damage Waiver can be purchased as an extra insurance which reduces the excesses mentioned above to 70 Euros. It can be purchased at an extra cost of 7 Euros per day per vehicle . These terms apply provided the damage is not due to violations of the Greek Traffic Law.

Personal injury and personal effects are NOT covered, however these are normally covered by your travel insurance policy.

In addition to the insurance cover provided by our suppliers for their vehicles, hirers should ensure that they have a full personal travel insurance policy.

The insurance becomes INVALID if anyone whose name is not on the contract drives the vehicle, also if vehicles are loaded with more passengers than their stated capacity; or if drivers are found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Insurance cover will also lapse in the event of negligence, if the vehicle is driven on an unsuitable road, if the driver exceeds the speed limit and the driver uses fuel different to the one recommended by the manufacturer or the local car hire supplier.

The driver must return the car on the date and time stated on the rental contract - failure to do so will invalidate the insurance and the hirer will incur further charges.
